I just learned that the other SW app "Uprising" is closing down. I havnt played it in month so no biggie

I just unlocked mods the other day...and is there a great way to decide what kind of mods to give to ppl...Also is it better to put all the same kind on 1 person to get the bigger bonus...or to split two kinds that would work well... Like half critical chance and half critical damage?

There is a lot of things to consider when choosing the right mod for the right toon. First a bit of background on the mods, each shape in the middle tells you what bonus it gives you. For most of them you need 2 of a kind to make the bonus. With the exception of critical damage, offense and speed need 4 of a kind to make the bonus. Besides the set bonus each mod has a primary and secondary stat. The primary stat is fixed for a few and random for others.

Square - Offense
Arrow - Speed, Acc%, Offense, Offense%, Defense, Defense%, Health, Health%, Protection, Protection%, Crit Avoid%
Diamond - Defense
Triangle - Crit Hit%, Crit Dam, Offense, Offense%, Defense, Defense%, Health, Health%, Protection, Protection%
Circle Health, Protection
Cross - Potency, Tenacity, Offense, Offense%, Defense, Defense%, Health, Health%, Protection, Protection%

All secondary stats are random, but the 2 top ones are going to have the higher ratings. The two main mods (regardless of set bonus) with primary stat, to look out for are Arrow with speed and Cross with potency. Arrow with crit avoidance is also a good one.

The way I choose my mods for my toons is to compliment the attack & abilities that they already have. For example I use Barris Offee as my leader for an all Jedi team, her leader ability is Jedi gain 20% max health and at start of their turn they gain 8% of Barriss's Max Heal. So for her I gave her all health mods so that is 15% extra Health, at the start of a battle she has 31720 health so each jedi at the start of their turns they get 2538 health. Another example is Aayla Secura. Part of her unique ability is whenever she scores a critical hit she also stuns so I have 2 sets of crit chance mods, each set has 5% so she has a total of 10% gain. The other 2 mods I put on her was Health, because she naturally has a low health.

I barely finished the level 8 battles on the mod table about 2 weeks ago so all my mods are low level with the exception of a few health and defense mods, thats cuz I was able to finish the health and defense mod challenges. What ever you do never buy mods from the mod shipments they are a total rip off. I know that the top 10 arena teams look for 5* mods that will have speed on the 1st or 2nd line of the secondary stat. The will upgrade it once to see the 2nd stat and if they like it they keep it if not they sell it, but that is far from where we are at, so just use what you get. There are a few videos on them on YouTube but some are outdated, when mods 1st came out they were super over powered so they got nerfed.

lol thank you for the description it helped.

For some reason I had it in my mind that the max bonus based on the symbol was obtainable if all mods were that...not that they were maxed lol that's where the confusion came from. This makes a lot more sense. I am kinda just putting them on ppl and hoping if they aren't ideal for them i can take them off later and give it to someone else lol.

I think I left a part out for bonus stat. For example if you put 2 health mods that are level 1-14 then it gives 2.5% health bonus but once those 2 mods reach level 15 the bonus goes up to 5%
